Why I'm Running
Right now, division and courtier-like loyalty are dominating Capitol Hill, destroying the promise of a functioning government. We cannot continue to fight against each other for pure partisan gain - one does not repair a fence if they’re pissed at their neighbor. We need to forge working relationships in Washington and work across the aisle. PERIOD.
I’m running because you deserve representation that works as hard as you do. I plan to bring transparency and compromise to Congress so that healthcare premiums are more affordable, immigration raids stop, our children have job opportunities when they graduate high school or college, and our vote counts.
As a longtime resident of Pleasanton, I understand that you might feel left behind by the very government that is meant to serve you. As citizens, we have shown with our protests against ICE that we have collective power and agency to drive meaningful change. As your representative, I will act as a liaison between community organizers and the federal government. In a democracy like ours, your participation through voting, protesting, and organizing nurtures and protests our democracy.
I know that I'm the underdog in this race but I've been the underdog before. From attending an Ivy League school on an academic scholarship while working two jobs to pay my way, to working in male-dominated Tech during the 1990’s, to beating infertility with the help of IVF, to surviving breast cancer - I’m resilient and rise to the occasion when faced with challenges. Today, I see that our country is need of a feisty warrior. So, I’m in it to win it.
Because family is incredibly important, I became a surrogate for a friend when she was diagnosed with cancer. As a result, both of my pregnancies were thanks to state-of-the-art IVF treatments. The same treatment that Project 2025 and the Trump Administration threaten with new restrictions on access. I'm running to champion access to women's healthcare and, above all, affordable healthcare.
I’m running for Congress with the support of people like you, not super PACs or corporations. I believe that our community should have the greatest say in who represents us. We are small business owners, engineers, teachers, researchers, farmers, and more. And, we deserve representation that listens and fights for us. It’s time for something different. I know that your vote equals your trust in me. I will do everything within my power to fight for your interests in Washington.
